Silicone Gauges and Tunnels

Silicone ear gauges are perfect for those with completely healed ears who want to experiment with different colours, styles, and looks! They are flexible and comfortable if you’re the type of person who does a lot of exercise who is very active too, so they are the preferred type of plug for those who run or play sport.

Note: It’s important to note that stretching ears with silicone plugs or stretching with silicone tapers isn’t a good idea because the material is porous and can lead to an infection. So only wear silicone jewellery when you’re completely healed.

The Silicone Ear Gauges Collection

Here at Custom Plugs we have a huge range of affordable silicone ear gauges for you to add to your collection, no matter what size gauge you’re working with. From unique shapes like squares and triangles, to interesting designs like our silicone mustache plug or our solid silicone purple gauge which has a marble effect!

What sizes do our silicone ear gauges come in?

We stock all common sizes for our silicone ear gauges to suit all stretches but note that not every one of our collection is available in every size! The sizes we offer include: 6g, 4g, 2g, 1g, 0g, 00g, 7/16", 1/2", 9/16", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1", 28mm, 29mm, 30mm, 32mm, 34mm, 36mm, 38mm, 40mm, 42mm, 44mm, 46mm, 47mm, 48mm, 50mm, 0 gauge plugs, and 2 gauge plugs.

You’ll be able to find the sizes in metric and imperial whist shopping our store, just click on the design you like. If you have any question about sizing or want to know the wearable depth of the design you’ve chosen before you buy, you can check out our ear stretching sizes chart!

What colours do our silicone ear gauges come in?

One of the great things about wearing silicone tunnels or plugs is that you can get them in a variety of colours. You can theoretically match your plugs to your skin tone for flesh-coloured gauges if you want (or are forced to wear) something a little less noticeable for work.

The colours we currently offer are green, black, blue, purple, pink, and white but if you want something custom or have a particular colour in mind, get in touch and we’ll see what we can do!

What flare do our silicone ear gauges come in?

You can get silicone plugs and tunnels in both single flare and double flare in our store! Just remember that the size of your piercing needs to be as big as the flare on double flare plugs.

What shapes do our silicone ear gauges come in?

Our silicone ear gauges are also available in interesting and unique shapes thanks to the flexibility of the material. Of course, we have the traditional shapes including the circular filled plugs and tunnels but we also have silicone teardrop plugs, square, and triangle for really cool looks. They are definitely a conversation starter!

Is Silicone Bad For Gauges?

Silicone is bacteria-friendly, which is why we only recommend it for healed ears. If you were still in the stretching process, it would do you good to stay away from them. Once healed, you can wear silicone plugs since they are lightweight and very comfortable.

Are Silicone Plugs Safe?

Generally, yes. However, as we mentioned, you should not wear them on healing or stretching ears. Only wear them after everything is done, and you are not at risk of bacterial infections or breakouts that may lead to a blowout and scarring.

When Can I Put In Silicone Tunnels?

We recommend stretching with the safest materials, including surgical stainless steel, titanium or glass. You can then insert silicone tunnels when the stretch is fully healed, which takes four to eight weeks, depending on how fast you heal.

Can I Wear Silicone Tunnels All the Time?

Silicone plugs and tunnels are comfy, lightweight, and rubbery, making them perfect for sensitive areas like the ears. When your ears are completely healed, you can wear them to bed or when doing sports since they are less likely to hurt if you sleep wrong or are undergoing vigorous physical activity.
