Diamond Gauges and Plugs

Here at Custom Plugs we know that sometimes you need a bit of sparkle in your life, which is why we have created our collection of diamond plugs for ears! Note that these products are not real diamonds but either gems like Cubic Zirconia or lab grown diamonds (both of which which are more ethical and don’t cost a fortune).

From diamond ear gauges and diamond ear tunnels to our gemstone gauge collection, you can find plugs for your stretched ears for all occasions including plugs for weddings and special events. Fake diamond gauges are also the perfect gift for your loved ones.

The Diamond Gauges & Plugs Collection

Diamond plugs and tunnels are perfect for formal occasions, and we have created an intricate collection that looks absolutely stunning. Simple and sparkly.

All our diamond gauges and plugs are either intricately cut gemstones (like cubic zirconia) or lab-grown diamonds so you won’t find ‘real diamond gauges’ that are mined for a number of reasons.

Lab-created diamonds are structurally no different than those that are mined, as the technology makes it possible to replicate the natural processes that form them in nature. The main difference is that lab-grown diamonds are more sustainable.

Choosing lab diamonds for our plugs and diamond ear tunnels was also an ethical decision, as you can be sure they are created in conditions that don’t require unethical practices or forced human labour. Plus, they don’t have a huge ecological footprint and are much more affordable when compared to mined diamond pricing which means everyone can enjoy them.

Cubic zirconia was chosen as it looks similar to diamonds from a distance and doesn't cost a fortune.

Are Plugs the Same as Gauges?

We use gauges to describe the size of the plug. Plugs refer to what you put in the hole (the jewellery itself).

Why Do My Plugs Smell Bad?

The reason is you shed skin every hour, which accumulates in the stretch. Use jojoba oil to maintain healthy hydrated lobes. Always make sure that you maintain high levels of hygiene by cleaning the ears and plugs. Avoiding sharing your jewellery.

Are Diamond Gauges Bad For Your Ears?

When constructed well, they should not be. Check what base material the plug is made from. For example stainless steel has traces of nickel so if you had a nickel allergy it would be bad. Another thing to remember is that the stretching process is a very important part of ensuring that your jewellery is not painful in your ear. Do it safely and slowly to reduce tearing, scarring, or irreparable damage.

Why Do People Get Big Gauges?

Aside from beauty and a personal choice, there is the fact that stretching itself is not easy. If you get to the larger sizes, you become a gauge queen or gauge king. No one will give you a medal for it, but if you think it looks cool, why wouldn't you have fun with it!
