What are tunnels?

Tunnels are hollowed out cylinders of various diameters that fit into stretched earlobes and there are several types, depending on how you fit them. They are basically plugs with holes in them!

A double flared tunnel has a flare at both ends that is larger in diameter than the middle part, so your ears needs to be at least the size of the flare to fit it.

Single flared tunnels have just one flared end, and an “O” ring on the other side to keep them in place.

A screw back is a flat flared piercing, but one flare end can be removed to fit them easier.

What materials do tunnel plugs come in?

Our tunnel plugs are made from various metals including gold & silver steel, rose gold, silver, titanium, surgical steel. Plus we also stock lightweight materials like acrylic, silicone, glass, and natural materials such as wood and stone. Many tunnel designs also combine more than one material.

What are tunnels for ears?

Tunnels for ears are hollow, tube shaped pieces of body jewelry for inserting into stretched ears. Tunnels are basically like plugs with holes in them.

How do I put tunnels in my ears?

Firstly ensure you're using the correct size tunnel for your ear. The best time to insert tunnels is after a shower. You should lubricate your ears with a small amount of Jojoba Oil. Tunnels are best inserted at an angle with one edge first. Some people call this the button method, as it can be similar to pushing a button into a button hole.

What's the difference between plugs and tunnels?

Plugs are solid whereas tunnels have holes in them. Both come in a variety of shapes and materials.

Can you use tunnels to stretch your ears?

It is not advised to use tunnels to stretch your ears. You should not try to jump sizes by inserting a larger tunnel. Instead use an insertion pin/ taper to increase your size before inserting the tunnel.

What are tunnel plugs?

Tunnel plugs is a term used often to describe plugs with holes in them. They are usually simply called "Tunnels" by people who wear them.

However if you just start searching around in Google for just "tunnels" you often find that you get a load of search results about tunnels under the ground. So people with stretched ears often search for "tunnel plugs".
